We want to help authors self-publish their work (10-100 pages) on Smashwords, MagCloud, or D2D as eBooks or PODs.
An author seeking to self-publish needs to juggle a lot of tasks and learn a lot of skills.
The author is not only a writer, but, an editor, publisher, researcher, marketeer, accountant, web/blog/graphic designer, administrator, and more.
Often new authors feel they need help with many of the tasks and skills needed to self-publish.
While authors can contract out for services like: beta-reading, editing, proofreading, formatting, marketing, writing, cover design, or a website / blog development to help them complete their manuscript and market their work, few authors can afford to contract out for all the services they need to get published.
First, try to master as many of the tasks and skills as possible. You may feel overwhelmed but this is a learning experience, give yourself some time to adapt.

Suggestion
Consider joining both a terra-firma writing group in your area and an online writers group in your genre, to see how other authors manage the skills and tasks involved in self-publishing.
